Smyrna Students, School Staff, Volunteers to be Honored at Mayor's Education Awards

Each school in the area will be represented in the awards ceremony at City Hall on Dec. 1.

Smyrna City Hall will be the scene for the 2014 Mayor’s Education Awards, which recognizes outstanding achievements made by Smyrna residents in the classroom and in the community.

Each of the 14 schools which call Smyrna home has recognized a student, staff member, and volunteer who made a positive impact in the educational environment during the first half of the school year. Each of the recipients will be bragged about by their school’s principals and will receive commemorative awards from Mayor Max Bacon.

The award show will kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1, and will be broadcast live on Charter Cable channel 181 or streamed live on the internet if you wish to watch the event from home.
