The balloons, which will have the LED lights placed inside, will be attached to tags which read “This Balloon Was Launched From Snellville, Georgia” and have a space on them to name the veteran the balloon is being launched in honor of. The tag asks those who find the balloon to let organizers know when and where it was found by posting on the Snellville Veterans Memorial Facebook page (www.facebook.com/SnellvilleVeteransMemorial).

“It’s going to be a special night for our veterans,” said Mayor Pro Tem Tom Witts. “Looking up in the sky and seeing all of those balloons in their honor is going to be a fitting tribute.”

The balloons will be available for $4 at City Hall, 2432 Oak Road, and Wild Wing Café, 1250 Scenic Highway, inside the Shoppes at Webb Gin. Balloons will also be available at the event.

The night will also feature the official unveiling of the tiles which went missing when the Veterans Memorial was opened before Memorial Day. Joining those tiles will be 97 new ones which were created since the summer event.
