Ambulance Service Expands To South Cherokee
An additional ambulance service was added to Fire Station 19, which sits off Highway 92 west of Woodstock.
Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services this week added an additional ambulance to the southern end of county.
The ambulance will be located at Station 19 at 100 Ridgemill Court, which sits off Highway 92 in southwest Cherokee County.

“That area of Cherokee County continues to grow and the calls for emergency services have increased, so we realized that it was necessary for us to place another ambulance in that area to respond to those calls,” said EMS Chief Danny West.
Station 19 is also the closest station to the small section of I-75 that crosses through Cherokee County.

The new ambulance was put into service on Sunday and during the first three days of service, it ran 20 calls. The new ambulance will be available to citizens 24/7.
