2 Drivers Seriously Injured In Randall Road Crash

The collision Saturday night lead to authorities closing a portion of Randall Road in Algonquin down for four hours.

ALGONQUIN, IL — Two drivers were seriously injured in a collision on Randall Road in Algonquin Saturday night, authorities said.

The crash happened at about 9:45 p.m. Saturday when a white sedan headed south on Randall Road near Bunker Hill Road lost control, hit a curb and crossed over the centerline and into northbound lanes of traffic, colliding with a northbound dark-colored sport utility vehicle, according to a news release from the Algonquin Police Department.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police. As of Monday, no updates were available on the conditions of the drivers, police told Patch.

The collision lead to authorities closing down Randall Road from Harnish Drive to Bunker Hill Drive for about four hours. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is encouraged to the call the Algonquin Police Department at 847-658-4531.
