The City of Aurora will host a Fourth of July celebration including DJs and a fireworks display in downtown Aurora.
The best viewing for the show will be at RiverEdge Park, 360 N. Broadway, and McCullough Park, 150 W. Illinois Ave.
DJ Suave Smooth and DJ Pena will perform at RiverEdge Park and McCullough Park, respectively, from 6-9:45 p.m. A food truck court will be set up at Wilder Park and Promenade, 350 N. River St., beginning at 5 p.m.

The goal of this 4-hour workshop is to introduce participants to a blended curriculum of modern weapons training. All skill levels are invited to learn various weapon related skills that include offensive and defensive use of modern weapons typically carried in today’s environment.
Training covers concealed/open carry weapons including discussion and practice of carrying and deployment of: edged weapons/knives, handguns, blunt objects (sticks/batons/saps), pepper spray (water-based pepper spray for training), etc. 
Only safe training weapons will be utilized, and some laser emitting pistols will be used for certain exercises. 
Cost is only $70 until 9/12; $80 after 9/12. Includes a water-based trainer pepper spray ($10 value).
