CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Relationship to nominee: New daughter-in-law

Reason for recognition: After her first year of a nurse at Amita Healthcare in EGV on the general surgery floor COVID hit. She quickly moved into ICU helping patients say goodbye to family with no visitors allowed doing all this while planning a wedding.

One thing to know: The strength, courage and love she gives to not only her patients but family too.
