The victim told police they had no idea how the person got the nude photograph, according to police.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

Ja Niece Carter, 22, of the 10400 block of Dearlove Road, is accused of having no valid driver's license, failure to wear a seatbelt, and was arrested at 7:11 p.m. June 24, in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue. Carter was released and assigned a court date of July 24.

RETAIL THEFT

  • Darlene Grimsley, 58, of the 6900 block of Ottawa Avenue, Chicago, is accused of two counts of retail theft, and was arrested at 12:56 p.m. June 24, following reports from Mariano's, 25 Waukegan Road on May 14. She was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 8.
  • Christopher Lawson, 37, of the 7300 block of N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, is accused of three counts of retail theft, and was arrested at 1:26 p.m. June 24. The incidents occurred at Jewel-Osco locations — 1340 Patriot Blvd. (May 24), and 2502 Waukegan Road (May 28 and June 3).

SPEEDING

Sebastian Bobrowski, 29, of the 4100 block of Cove Lane, is accused of speeding (35mph over the limit), operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to wear a seat belt, and was arrested at 6:20 p.m. June 25, following a traffic stop in the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released and assigned a court date of July 11.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

  • Abel Ramirez, 39, of the 3700 block of Knollwood Lane, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, endangering the life/health of a child, and was arrested at 9:04 p.m. June 21. He was released and assigned a court date of July 24.
  • Glenn Cavanaugh, 69, of the 300 block of Alexis Court, is accused of DUI alcohol, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no insurance, and was arrested at 5:20 p.m. June 19, following a traffic crash investigation that occurred in the 2400 block of Harrison Street three days prior. He was released and assigned a court date of July 24.

LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT

Santiago Morales 44, of the 3600 block of Salem Walk, Northbrook, is accused of leaving the scene of a property damage accident, changing lanes when prohibited, and was arrested at 6 p.m. June 19, following a hit-and-run investigation on June 3 at Waukegan Road and Golf Road. He was released and assigned a court date of July 24.

INCIDENTS

BURGLARY TO VEHICLE

  • A resident in the 200 block of Lincoln Street reported at 2:14 p.m. June 18, someone had entered their unlocked vehicle sometime overnight while it was parked in the driveway. A wallet and a bag of coins were taken from the vehicle.
  • A resident in the 1200 block of Pfingsten Road reported at 8:37 a.m. June 21, locating video footage of on the residence's surveillance system of an unknown male, with brown hair, 20 to 30 years old, wearing a gray shirt and light color shorts, entering their unlocked vehicle at 12:57 a.m. while it was parked in the driveway of the house. The vehicle was rummaged through, but nothing was taken.
  • A resident in the 2300 block of Larkdale Drive reported that between June 21 and June 22, someone had gained entry to their vehicle at the residence. The vehicle was rummaged through, but nothing was taken.
  • A resident in the 1500 block of Canterbury Lane called police to report that during the overnight hours of June 22, someone had entered their vehicle and removed a money clip containing $700 and several credit cards. They said the person made several purchases using the stolen credit cards.

FLEEING/ELUDING POLICE

Police were notified at 5:20 p.m. June 18, via a FLOCK hit of a stolen vehicle traveling westbound Central Road from Warren Road. Officers attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle at Greenwood Road and Elmdale Road, but the vehicle began passing traffic on the shoulder and the stop was terminated. The driver was wearing all dark clothing with long dread locks. The passenger was a male with short hair, thinner build, wearing a red long sleeve shirt or hoodie. The vehicle was last seen eastbound Glenview Road.

THEFT

  • Employees of a business in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 6:44 p.m. June 18, to report a customer had completed nail services and left the business without paying. They wanted them given a trespass warning not to return. Officers spoke with the customer who said they were unhappy with the service provided, but had trouble communicating due to a language barrier, so they left without paying. They were advised not to return to the business.
  • A resident in the 100 block of Waukegan Road called police at 6:02 p.m. June 19, to report someone had removed their wallet from their bag that was in their shopping cart while they were at a business in the 0-10 block of Waukegan Road. The credit cards were then used 6:41 p.m. at a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road, to make purchases totaling $3,162. The Prada wallet contained credit cards, money, gift cards, and driver’s license, valued at $1,200.
  • A resident of the 2600 block of Summit Drive called police at 1:37 p.m. June 20, to report several pieces of jewelry were missing from their jewelry box. They have several caregivers in the residence employed through a home health agency.

IDENTITY THEFT

  • A resident in the 1700 block of Wildberry Drive reported on June 19, someone had used several of their credit card numbers without permission on June 5. They still had possession of their cards. They had a home health care agency at the home since April, and they believe one of the caretakers might have gone through the wallet.
  • A Highland Lane resident reported at 1 p.m. June 23, someone had opened an AT&T account using their personal information, which included a telephone line and an iPhone 15 pro max. AT&T opened a fraud investigation.
  • A resident of the 3500 block of Carol Lane reported at 3:11 p.m. June 24, there were two attempted transactions on their bank account. They submitted personal information into a Yahoo email, which they now believe was phishing. The bank was able to stop both transactions and there is no financial loss at this time.

BATTERY

A Chicago resident reported at 8:17 p.m. June 19, being sprayed in the face with an unknown liquid substance coming from a passing vehicle near the intersection of Shermer Road and West Lake Avenue. The vehicle is described as black, possibly a Honda Accord.

STOLEN VEHICLE

  • A resident of the 1200 block of Pam Anne Drive called police at 8:16 a.m. June 20, to report someone took their 2014 Jeep Patriot while it was parked on the driveway sometime overnight.
  • A resident of the 900 block of Raleigh Road called police at 9:23 a.m. June 22, to report someone had stolen their vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of the residence. The vehicle's GPS tracking showed the vehicle last stopped at the BP gas station at 8701 South State St. in Chicago. The vehicle was entered into LEADS as stolen.

INTIMIDATION

A resident of the 1500 block of Plymouth Place reported at 2:13 a.m. June 22, being involved in a conversation with an offender via WhatsApp. During the conversation, the two exchanged photographs. The complainant said the images they sent to the offender of themselves did not depict nudity. However, they later received a nude picture of themselves from the person with the demand of paying the offender $1,500 if they did not want their friends and family to receive the images. The nude images were authentic, but they said they had never shared it with anyone and does not know how the offender obtained them.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A resident of the 4700 block of Linden Lane reported that between June 20 and June 21, someone had damaged the control board wiring harness and drained five gallons of diesel fuel from the Genie GS-5390 scissor lift while it was parked on the northside of the construction site in the 2600 block of Sanders Road.

BURGLARY FROM VEHICLE

  • A resident of the 1400 block of Elizabeth Lane called police to report that between June 21 and June 22, their vehicle was rummaged through and $200 was taken from the glove box. At 3:46 a.m., a neighbor's surveillance camera captured a sedan pull up to the residence. Two people got out and ran toward the house.
  • A West Lake Avenue resident reported on June 24 that two days earlier, someone had attempted to use their credit card at Neiman Marcus in Northbrook, but it was declined. They then noticed the credit cards and $40 missing from their purse.

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT

Employees at Community Bark West, 1001 Zenith Drive, reported at 9:18 a.m. June 24, the mirror and stalls in the men's washroom were defaced with black marker. It was unknown when the incident occurred, but the bathrooms are cleaned daily.

INFORMATION FOR POLICE

A refused complainant reported on June 22 there was anti-Semitic propaganda at Catherine Crowley Park, 749 Huber Lane. Officers located a small bag of rice with a flyer inside showing an anti-Semitic message. No other bags were located in the park.
