HINSDALE, IL – One of Hinsdale High School District 86's interim superintendents is set to leave Friday, an unexpected turn of events.

In July, Linda Yonke took the reins as co-interim superintendent along with Ray Lechner.

In a brief interview, Yonke told Patch, "There are no ill feelings. It's for personal reasons."

At its meeting Thursday, the school board is set to approve a resignation agreement with an "administrator," likely Yonke. It could also be for the district's communications director, Chris Jasculca, who is leaving Friday.

Patch left a message for comment with board president Catherine Greenspon early Tuesday evening. But she has not answered any of Patch's messages since taking office in May.

It is unclear whether the district plans to replace Yonke.

In June, the board ousted Superintendent Tammy Prentiss before hiring the interim superintendents.

The board has been interviewing candidates for the superintendent's position, with the expectation that the new one would take the helm next July.

In recent years, Yonke has filled interim superintendent roles around the suburbs. Among the places was Elmhurst School District 205, where she was credited with stabilizing the school system during a turbulent time.
