Joliet Caterpillar Workers Notified of Possible Move
Plant could move to Mexico in 2016.
Caterpillar-Joliet has notified its 230 full-time employees that the Joliet plant, located on Route 6 west of Larkin Avenue, could be moving its operations to Mexico, WJOL reported.
A final decision on the move is reportedly set to be made in March. The move would not happen until 2016.
