National Night Out Planned For Aug. 6 In Lisle
The Lisle police will connect with residents with fun activities during the National Night Out event.
LISLE, IL — Lisle police will take part in the 2024 National Night Out event on Aug. 6, offering a touch-a-truck experience, K-9 demonstrations and other activities to connect with community members.
Residents are welcome to visit the Lisle Police Department from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. during National Night Out to chat with police officers, get a behind-the-scenes peek at SWAT operations and tour the police department. Fernando's Street Kitchen and Kona Ice will have food trucks at the event offering items for sale.
National Night Out got its start in 1984 as an initiative to build relationships between community members and local police departments. Now, events are held throughout the U.S. during the first Tuesday in August each year.
