IPS Teacher's 20 Students Take Part In Her Wedding

IPS teacher Marielle Slagel Keller invited the 20 students to serve as flower girls and ring bearers during her June 24 wedding.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — An Indianapolis teacher chose a group of children she sees every day to be her flower girls and ring bearers during her June wedding, according to ABC News. Marielle Slagel Keller's 20 kindergarten and first-grade students from IPS Butler Lab School walked down the aisle during their teacher's big day on June 24, ABC News reports. In the images you can see the children wore white outfits and carried garland as they walked down the aisle before the bride's entrance.

The special day was captured by Cory and Jackie Photography, the perfect fit for the wedding.

"As a former teacher myself, I loved the idea of involving her students," Jackie Phillips said in a statement to Patch. "However, we were a bit nervous to make sure we really captured as many of the students as possible coming down the aisle and getting their reactions. It was truly sweet and you could really see their excitement."
