Tea Shop Reopens Physical Store In Anne Arundel County, Expects Another In 2023

A tea shop reopened a brick-and-mortar location in Annapolis. The veteran-owned business expects to open a second store in spring 2023.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis-based tea vendor once again has a physical store.

The company, Capital Teas, recently reopened a location at the Westfield Annapolis mall. The business previously opened a shop there in 2015, but the retailer eventually shifted to an online operation. The brick-and-mortar store is back, however.

"It's a different time, a different mindset, and a smaller/more coordinated team," Capital Teas said on Instagram. "We are confident in this decision."

The store announced its opening on Nov. 26. It is located in the Annapolis mall center court by JCPenney.

"Just stopped by earlier today and everyone was so helpful and friendly," customer Gidget Faulkner said Saturday on Facebook. " Thanks for a great shopping experience. I'm sitting here drinking the Roasted Almond tea and it is delicious! I'll definitely be back!"

Capital Teas also plans to open another physical shop in spring 2023. That second store will be located in downtown Annapolis at 260 King George St., the business's website said.

"Since 2007, Capital Teas has provided the highest quality specialty teas and unique products that are cherished by our many patrons throughout the United States and Canada," the veteran-owned business said on its website. "Thousands of people start and end their days with Capital Teas."
