New Sub Shop Opens In Anne Arundel County, Fundraises For Charity

PASADENA, MD — Jersey Mike's Subs opened Wednesday in Pasadena's Mountain Road Plaza.

The national chain is known for its fresh bread baked in-store. The eatery also slices its meats and cheeses on the spot.

Jersey Mike's is fundraising for charity during its grand opening, which runs through Sunday. The business distributed fundraising coupons to locals. Anybody who presents the coupon at the sub shop can make a donation of at least $3 in exchange for a free regular sandwich.

The fundraiser will benefit Club 164, a sober bar in Annapolis for folks in recovery.

Jersey Mike's has raised more than $110 million for charities since 2010. The company's 2023 March month of giving raised $21 million for more than 200 charities around the country.

"Jersey Mike's believes that making a sub sandwich and making a difference can be one and the same," the business said in a press release announcing the Pasadena location.

The new eatery is located at 3201 Mountain Road, Suite 119. It fills the vacancy left by PNC Bank, which closed several years ago.

This is the sixth Jersey Mike's in Anne Arundel County. The others are in:

• Severna Park
• Glen Burnie
• Gambrills
• Hanover
• Edgewater

There are more than 2,500 Jersey Mike's locations nationwide. The Pasadena franchise is owned by Greg DeBoy, and it's open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
