A Costco Wholesale store has been proposed for Bel Air Village. There will be a community input meeting July 11 to discuss plans.

A community input meeting will be held July 11 at 6 p.m. at the Abingdon Fire Company, 3306 Abingdon Road. This would be the 1st Costco to be located in Harford County. The 22.5-acre development includes a 152,000-square-foot store with 821 parking spots.

BEL AIR, MD — Plans are on the table to build a Costco Wholesale store in Bel Air Village on a 22.5-acre lot located at MD State Route 24, MD State Route 924, Bel Air South Parkway and Plumtree Road.

A community input meeting will be held July 11 at 6 p.m. at the Abingdon Fire Company, 3306 Abingdon Road. This would be the first Costco to be located in Harford County.

The 22.5-acre development includes a 152,000-square-foot store with 821 parking spots.

In 2012, residents voiced opposition to the proposed closing of the Bel Air Walmart on Constant Friendship Boulevard and Route 24, which had been there since the 1990s, and the construction of a new Walmart down the road at Route 24 and Plum Tree Road, the same site as the proposed Costco Wholesale.
