Police Take Out Trash in Columbia

A Columbia woman recently got a helping hand from tactical officers with the Howard County Police Department.

On Friday afternoon, police were serving a warrant in Columbia when they saw an opportunity to be of service to a resident.

The resident was taking out her garbage when the officers, who were dressed in tactical gear, offered to help.

The result was captured on camera, and the department shared the picture on social media Wednesday to recognize the officers for making a difference.
