Churchton Woman Critically Injured in Head-On Crash

A woman may have run a stop sign which led to a crash with a tow truck from Deale, say Anne Arundel County Police.

A driver was critically injured Wednesday morning when she reported failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed head-on with a two truck in Lothian.

Anne Arundel County Police say a Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Patricia A. Hughan, 47, of Churchton was westbound on MD-4 when it exited onto the service road at Southern Maryland Boulevard.

Witnesses said Hughan did not stop for the stop sign at the end of the ramp and was struck almost head on by a Ford flatbed tow-truck.
