Attleboro Meth Lab Suspect Denies Wrongdoing

Attleboro police said Robert Acheson, 52, overdosed while running a meth lab out of his Knight Avenue residence.

ATTLEBORO, MA — An Attleboro man charged with running a meth lab out of his Knight Avenue residence claimed he was running a chemical experiment and denied any wrongdoing.

Robert Acheson, 52, was arrested Sunday and charged with manufacturing crystal methamphetamine. Police said first responders discovered his meth lab after he overdosed. He was hospitalized and arraigned Monday in Attleboro District Court.

Acheson’s attorney told CBS Boston his client conducted a “failed” chemical experiment unrelated to meth.

Neighbors were evacuated as Hazmat crews secured his residence, police said.
