SANDWICH, MA — There's a sweet spot in the Cape Cod culinary scene in when the winter weather finally breaks and the sun shines a bit longer.

That sweet spot hits sometime in late April or early May, when the seasonal residents and tourists have yet to head east or north or whatever other direction they do to crowd the bridges and roads. As it happens, that sweet spot is starting to hit on the Cape, and the latest restaurant to reopen is the Pilot House in Sandwich.
