Hyannis Popcorn Business Closed After Driver Crashes Into Store

Smith Family Popcorn will be closed in Hyannis until further notice after the crash, which sent the driver to an area hospital.

HYANNIS, MA — Smith Family Popcorn's Hyannis location will be closed after a driver crashed their car into the front of the store.

The crash happened around 4 p.m. at the 545 Main St. location, sending the driver of the vehicle to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported, and no one was in the building at the time of the accident.

Business officials announced the closure on social media on Tuesday, not setting a reopening date but adding that they hoped to get back to work soon.
