Coolidge Corner Bakery Closes After Worker Gets Coronavirus

The store has already been deep cleaned and the shop's owners are working with the Brookline Department of Health to reopen.

BROOKLINE, MA — A popular Coolidge Corner bakery has closed temporarily after one of its staff members tested positive for the coronavirus.

The owners of Party Favors on Beacon Street posted to social media and their website Monday that they were closed temporarily to ensure everyone's safety.

"Unfortunately, we've had a staff member test positive for COVID and we have closed the bakery temporarily in order to address the situation," the owners posted to their website. "We are working with the Brookline Health Dept. and we've already had the store deep cleaned and disinfected."

The employee who tested positive is in quarantine, and doing well, one of the owners told Patch.

"They're feeling better every day," she told Patch, adding that the store elected to have the rest of the staff as a precaution and so far none of the tests have come back positive.
