BROOKLINE, MA — A man was arrested Monday after police said he broke into Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen's Chestnut Hill mansion and was found sitting on their couch.

Zanini Cineus, 34, faces charges including breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, attempted larceny and trespassing. In October, Cineus was also accused of breaking into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame and stealing several items, including a Tom Brady jersey.

Just before 6 a.m. Monday, a residential alarm company alerted police to multiple alarms going off at the property and told them they were watching a man walking around the house on the house security camera.

Police said when they got there, officers found the Cineus in the basement.

"Officers found the suspect sitting on the couch, and arrested him without incident," Brookline police Lt. Jen Paster said. "It was good police work, and obviously when an alarm company can give us updates it's a huge help."

Paster said Cineus is homeless and his last addresses were Brockton and Rhode Island. He is expected to be in court later Monday. Police said he also has warrants out of Wrentham District Court stemming from the Patriots Hall of Fame theft accusations.

Brady and Bündchen's five-bedroom home, built in 2015 on Woodland Road, sits on 5 acres next to The Country Club — the ultra-exclusive club that Brady joined. The power couple bought the land from Pine Manor College in 2013 for around $4.5 million, some 15 years after Brady joined the Patriots.

The home has a gym, spa and guest house with a yoga studio that has barn-like details.

The supermodel and the quarterback listed the estate in August 2019 for $$39.5 million as the couple eyed leaving New England. They dropped the price to $33.9 million before they pulled it off the market amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Boston Business Journal recently said the power couple is trying to sell the property privately.

Brady and Bündchen are now living in Florida, where Brady plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
