Connect with your child through family-friendly yoga this weekend!
Move together as a family! This kid-friendly yoga class weaves a rich balance between the imaginative world of the child with the distinct aspects of yoga practice that support mindfulness, self-regulation and joy. Your instructor comes from the teaching team at <a href="https://www.onthematyoga.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">On The Mat Yoga</a> in Concord.
For ages 3-12 with a caregiver. Bring a water bottle and a mat.
Please meet your instructor near the Two Black Hearts sculpture, located on the South Lawn.
Afterward, enjoy a picnic (bring your own or grab something onsite from Twisted Tree Café) and explore the Sculpture Park.
If it should rain, the program will be in the museum gallery.

Enjoy an evening of true stories told live. Eight storytellers will entertain and touch your heart. Tonight’s theme: “Road Trip.”
The deCordova Museum and Sculpture Park and The Trustees, in collaboration with Fugitive Productions, is hosting “Pondside Stories,” a new offering of “True Stories Told Live.” Join us for a fabulous evening of storytelling and community! Eight storytellers — several experienced, competition winners along with some local community tellers — will be sharing their stories.
Fugitive Stories brings the craft of true stories told live to audiences in Boston’s western ’burbs. Each night is unique and they never fail to entertain. Hearing a true story in a live performance is fun, moving, and transformative. Fugitive Stories’ evenings intimately reveal what we all have in common, making people feel more human and more alive. You will laugh and sometimes shed a few tears. Every event opens a door to a memory, a new friend, or to your heart. Humanity’s earliest stories were about survival, hope, loss, love, and courage. Today’s stories echo the same themes.
July 10th – The evening’s theme is “Haven”
August 14th – The evening’s theme will be “Road Trip”
September 11th – The evening’s theme will be “Breathless”

Award-winning Firelight Theatre Workshop presents We Were Friends, a playful reimagining of Margaret Fuller and Ralph Waldo Emerson’s profound friendship set in today’s world. In this 12-part series (two of which are being shown at the Concord Museum this summer), Firelight explores the intimate and private moments of this deep, platonic friendship. The series moves non-chronologically: each episode stands alone, and yet each is a puzzle piece in the larger portrait of their friendship. In this episode And Then: Late Night, we invite you to spy on Margaret and Waldo early in their friendship, on a restless night in Waldo’s garage. See the clothing collection in a unique setting and learn about the ongoing and important work of preserving the Museum’s collection. Conservation in Action: Historic Clothing Collection

Concord Conservatory of Music

Concord Conservatory of Music’s Singing with Parkinson’s Chorus brings together Parkinson’s patients, their families, and caregivers to provide enjoyment, strength and comradery. This is an ongoing program, and we welcome participants to come at any time during the semester to try out the chorus. The Chorus meets on Mondays at 10:30 am through 12:00 pm.&nbsp;
A chorus-based opportunity to participate in voice therapy through song, Singing with Parkinson’s focuses on vocal fitness while offering people coping with the disease a chance to sing together, perform in the community and build new friendships. Breathing, stretching, posture, and vocal exercises are taught in a supportive, congenial environment.
The chorus sings songs from a variety of genres, with input from the group helps guide the repertoire. The cost for participants is $100 for the fall semester, which is 10 sessions, and there’s no cost for caregivers and family members to attend. 
Concord Conservatory of Music (CCM) is the area’s non-profit community music school, located at 1317 Main Street in the West Concord Union Church. Financial assistance is available.

Concord Conservatory of Music is an energetic community of people who are passionate about music education. CCM enrolls more than 400 students annually and offers programs for all ages and abilities. As a non-profit school, CCM serves Concord, MA, and 15 surrounding communities. Its curriculum includes private instruction, group classes, and performance opportunities.
