A reportedly confused Jones, who lives near the station, reported went to the Foxborough Public Safety building Sunday morning seeking medical attention according to dispatch records obtained by the Boston Herald. He was evaluated by fire and emergency medical officials before being transported to Norwood Hospital just after 8 a.m.

In dispatch audio from the incident, an officer can be heard going into Jones’ home to grab his keys and discussing the involvement of a Class D drug.

“I got his keys off the kitchen table to lock the front door. I was able to lock the front door. If you want to just pass along to the fire, he was definitely involved with Class D delta before this happened, just so they know,” the officer said over the radio.

A Class D drug is often considered to be marijuana.

Jones was released from the hospital Sunday and has been at all team meetings and practices this week, according to the Patriots. The source added that Jones was at the Patriots facility lifting weights at 6:30 a.m. Monday.

A drug incident would be nothing new to the Jones family. In 2014, Chandler’s brother and former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones tested positive for benzoylecgonine, one of the principal chemicals in cocaine.

A fourth-year player for the Patriots, Jones recorded 44 tackles and 12.5 sacks in 15 games this season. Prior to being drafted by New England in 2012, the Rochester, NY, native played college football at Syracuse.
