Milford Woman Charged with 5th OUI

Carolyn Sammarco was arrested and charged after a traffic stop in Hopkinton.

A Milford woman faces her fifth drunken driving charge after being pulled over and arrested during a traffic stop in Hopkinton.

Carolyn Sammarco, 57, was arrested Sunday night at 7:07 p.m. according to the Metrowest Daily News. In addition to the drunken driving offense, she was charged with failing to stop for police and a marked lanes violation.

According to a police report, Hopkinton Police Officer Peter Booth attempted to pull over a Nissan after observing the vehicle swerving over the yellow center line on West Main Street. The driver, however, ignored the police lights, sirens, and request to stop.

The vehicle finally pulled over after stopping at a red light and turning onto South Street. Sammarco allegedly told police that she didn’t know what to do.

Booth described Sammarco’s eyes as “bloodshot and glassy,” and wrote that her breath smelled of alcohol. Sammarco admitted drinking with friends in Framingham earlier.
