BEVERLY, MA — Ownership of the popular RiverWalk Brewery in Newburyport is planning to open a new taproom in Beverly.

RiverWalk owner Steve Sanderson said in a Facebook post that The Falconer on Cabot Street will be a pub inspired by the spirit of those in England, Ireland and Scotland.

"We're going to be able to bring you that kind of vibe right in downtown Beverly," Sanderson said. "It's going to be a little different than our existing taproom. You're going to see some of the old favorites. You're going to see some new things."

Sanderson said last week The Falconer will be open later this summer or early fall.

"We're still a couple of months out from beginning to open but I'm really excited to be able to be here with you at what I hope is your new local pub," Sanderson said.

RiverWalk's Newburyport location has 12 rotating draft lines and offers a "beer-inspired menu" that includes pizza. Many of the food items are created using locally produced ingredients.

The Newburyport taproom and beer garden also has pints, flights, as well as growlers and cans to go.
