SWAMPSCOTT, MA — The legacy of Newman's Bagel Bakery will be celebrated on Saturday when the Grab The Bagel mobile "bagel bus" moves to its new location The Dockside Pub.

Grab The Bagel will be at the pub on Saturday mornings from 9 to 11 a.m. with the opening day dedicated to Newman's. There will be a raffle with 10 vacuum bagel towers (valued at $30) and a $100 Dockside Pub gift certificate as the top prizes.

"I was a long-time devoted customer at Newman's, and being just a few steps away from their front door made this an easy decision," Grab The Bagel owner Dave Aldrich. "Their multigenerational dedication for 55 years serving Swampscott will be recognized."

Aldrich said when he approached Dockside Pub owner Andrew Ingemi about the idea "it took less than 30 seconds for him to say: 'What a terrific idea and resource to the community. I'm all in.'"

The Newman family will be at the event open to the public. A recognition of the Newman family will be at 10 a.m. with the raffle drawing later in the event.
