Weymouth Woman Charged with Hiding in Refrigerator, Leaving Kids Behind
Sandra A. Savage is charged with hiding in a refrigerator in an attempt to hide from police.
A Weymouth woman faces child endangerment charges after allegedly leaving her 1-year-old grandson and the 9-year-old son of a friend alone in a pizza restaurant.
Sandra A. Savage, 47, was arrested Thursday night at Domino’s Pizza, according to the Patriot Ledger. She was arraigned in Quincy District Court on charges of shoplifting (third offense), reckless endangerment of a child, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and malicious damage to property
According to a police report, police were called to Wal-Mart on Middle street just before 8 p.m. after an employee observed Savage hiding items in a carriage with the 1- and 9-year-olds. When she was caught she told the employee she “didn’t have time for this,” told the 9-year-old to run, and left with the baby carriage across Washington Street to Domino’s Pizza.

When police arrived at Domino’s, Savage allegedly left the two children behind and hid in a refrigerator in the back of the restaurant.
Savage was ordered held on $2,000 bail. She is due back in court on Feb. 8.
