Pride Month Kicks Off Worcester Pride Season Of Events
Worcester typically marks Pride month in September, but 2024 festivities will start as early as June.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester Pride month will be more like Pride summer in 2024.
Pride Worcester's 2024 season begins in June — the traditional Pride month commemorating the 1969 Stonewall riots — ahead of the city's main celebration in September.
The organization has events lined up for all of June, July, August and September, but is highlighting a few events coming up soon:

- June 20 — Youth Pride Night featuring a screening of "Barbie" during the Movies on the Common series behind City Hall.
- June 22 — The Pride Worcester barbecue at the Green Hill Golf Course celebrating June Pride month.
- June 23 — The Pride tea dance at the Fruitlands Museum in Harvard (21+).
- Aug. 17 — The Pride Worcester pageant at Mechanic's Hall.
- Aug. 30 — The annual Pride flag raising in front of Worcester City Hall.
- Aug. 31 — The Pride Worcester Youth Prom at the JMAC downtown.
- Sept. 7 — The main event Pride Worcester Festival, a daylong block party surrounding the Worcester Common downtown.
Pride month in Worcester will also mark the return of MB Lounge, the oldest gay bar in the city, which closed for renovations in January. The bar reopened last week. For the second year in a row, the Canal District's Femme Bar — an LGBTQ+ bar focused on women, the only one of its kind in New England — will be hosting Pride events throughout June.
