Southeast Michigan is in for some glorious weather over the next week, with warm sunny days and cool nights in the forecast through the weekend.

Temperatures are expected to be in the low 80s through the weekend, and upper 70s for most of next week, according to Weather.com.

Rain chances are 40 percent Sunday and Sunday evening, according to the National Weather Service. Here’s what to expect for the rest of the weekend:

Friday afternoon and evening: Sunny, with a high near 79; west northwest wind around 9 mph. Mostly clear overnight, with a low around 60. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 82; calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Mostly clear overnight, with a low around 64; south wind 3 to 8 mph.

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m., otherwise mostly sunny, with a high near 80. South wind 5 to 11 mph. A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight; mostly cloudy, with a low around 62.
