Maplewood-Based 3M Suspends Operations In Russia

3M joins McDonald's, Exxon-Mobil, General Electric, Netflix, and others ending operations in Russia over the country's invasion of Ukraine.

MAPLEWOOD, MN — 3M announced Wednesday that it will suspend operations in Russia.

The Maplewood-based corporation is the latest company to cut production in Russia over the county's invasion of Ukraine, joining McDonald’s, Exxon-Mobil, General Electric, Netflix, and others.

Medina-based Polaris has also ended operations in Russia.

Minnetonka-based Cargill continues to do business in the country. Late last month, a shipping vessel contracted by Cargill was struck by a missile while leaving a Black Sea port on Ukraine's southern border. There were no injuries reported.
