Several officers were sent to Stickney Avenue for a report of a Black man, dressed in a black hoodie, smashing windows on cars in the Concord Coach bus depot parking lot. A woman called 911 to report the crime, saying she heard glass shattering and saw the man, with a pole with something on the end of it, doing the damage. Officers found the suspect, Ndayambaje, sitting on the sidewalk, but he refused to speak with officers, according to an affidavit. He “kept on insisting” the reporting officer “not watch him,” the report said. Another witness claimed they saw Ndayambaje with a metal pole smashing windows and pointed to the pole in the grass near one of the damaged vehicles, the affidavit stated. The witness also provided police with a picture of Ndayambaje holding onto the pole, the report said. Other officers spoke to other witnesses about the incident. Altogether, 13 vehicles were damaged during the incident. Ndayambaje was arrested and held on preventative detention.
