CONCORD, NH — Dennis Ronald Bourque, 66, of Fisherville Road in Concord was arrested at 5:16 p.m. on Sept. 6, 2020, on driving under the influence-second or third and driving after revocation or suspension charges. According to an affidavit, officers were sent to the Cumberland Farms on Manchester Street for a report of a store patron who bought alcohol and was in the parking lot, sitting in a Ford, drinking. The officers arrived at the store, parked near the vehicle, and ran a check on it. "As I was confirming the license plate with dispatch, the vehicle started to back up," the reporting officer wrote. "Based on my position at the time, I thought the vehicle was going to back into my cruiser." The officers approached the vehicle with one saying they saw a 25 ounce can of Bud Light in the center console. The officer accused the driver, later identified as Bourque, of attempting to hide the can next to his leg, the affidavit said. The officer requested Bourque's license and found that his privileges were suspended. When asked about it, Bourque said it was "due to refusing implied consent on a DUI arrest," the affidavit said. Bourque, according to reports online, was arrested by both Concord and state police in February, during two separate incidents. Bourque was accused of exhibiting signs of intoxication, given a field sobriety test, and then, arrested and held without bail. Bourque was also arrested in March 2017 on drunken driving charges in Concord.
