CONCORD, NH — Duane Ansel Hardy Jr., 41, of North Spring Street in Concord, was arrested at 10:22 a.m. on Dec. 22, 2019, on a felony possession of methamphetamine charge and a warrant. An officer on South Main Street saw Hardy, who she knew from previous contacts, and ran a check on him and found he had an active warrant, according to an affidavit, out of Merrimack County Superior Court. The officer turned around and headed north, caught up with and spoke to Hardy, and told him he had an active warrant. "Duane became extremely agitated and began arguing with me, stating he does not have a warrant," the officer wrote. For officer safety, Hardy was cuffed and another officer was requested to assist. While the reporting officer double-checked the warrant, the second officer accused Hardy of being in possession of a baggie of meth, which later field tested positive. Hardy was arrested and held on the no bail warrant.
