See: Firefighters Save Deer From Frozen Pond

Two pulled out of Pinnacle Pond on Tuesday morning.

Hooksett Fire and Rescue teams had a busy day this morning rescuing two deer from Pinnacle Pond that fell through the melting pond ice.

The firefighters were sent to the pond at a little before 8 a.m. on April 7, 2015, and posted a picture on Twitter of the team members attempting to hook onto one of the deer that was neck deep in the slushy pond. It took about two hours to pull the deer out of the still frozen but also melting water, according to WMUR-TV.

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department checked the deer and they were reported to be in stable condition.

WMUR-TV also reported that firefighters are urging residents to stay off the ice, since it is thinning and melting.
