Dylan Harrington Peterson, 29, of North Main Street in Concord, was arrested at 6:54 p.m. on Oct. 29 on felony drug possession, resisting arrest, and loitering and prowling charges as well as a warrant and a bench warrant. An officer on South Main Street saw a man, dressed in black, wearing a skeleton face mask at the Quik Stop Convenience Street on South Main Street. The officer wrote in a report that the man’s “head was slumped to his chest,” and he “appeared to be swaying.” When the officer pulled into the parking lot, the man saw the officer, got on a bicycle, and fled the scene. The officer followed, rolled down the cruiser window, and told the man to stop. The man yelled back, “You guys are always looking for me,” a report said, and peddled faster toward Gas Street. The officer parked the cruiser and attempted to stop the man, but he rode the bike between the cruiser and a fence. The officer gave chase, ordering the man to stop, but he refused. While being chased on the train tracks, the man attempted to cross the tracks and wiped out on the bike, the officer wrote. The man was handcuffed on a resisting charge, and while doing so, the mask fell off, and the officer recognized the perp to be Peterson. When asked why he fled, Peterson was accused of saying he thought he had warrants and also had fentanyl in one of his pockets. During a search, the officer found a small plastic bag of a brown-colored powdery substance believed to be fentanyl. Another officer arrived and Peterson was brought to their cruiser. Dispatch confirmed an electronic bench warrant and a bail jumping warrant out of Newport District Court. Inside a bag, the officer accused Peterson of possessing burnt tinfoil, two syringes, lighters, and a cell phone. The tinfoil and syringes were thrown away, a report said. Peterson was arraigned on Oct. 30 in Merrimack County Superior Court and is due back in court on Nov. 20 for a dispositional conference.
