Jeremiah R. Goodbread, 45, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 8 a.m. on Aug. 15 on a felony possession of a controlled drug charge. On April 29, an officer was looking for the suspect of a hit-and-run who was wearing a green jacket and jeans. The officer came upon Goodbread “hiding behind a dumpster” at the Speedway on Hall Street, an affidavit stated. He did not match the suspect but had an active electronic bench warrant out of Hooksett District Court and was arrested. The officer accused Goodbread of having three used syringes, three empty baggies, and another baggie with a clear-white crystal believed to be methamphetamine. “Jeremiah said that the substance was rock salt,” the officer wrote. The substance was submitted to the state police crime lab for analysis and, on Aug. 3, was found to be meth, according to an affidavit. A warrant was issued for his arrest on Aug. 11, and he was charged later.
