6 Arrested During NH State Police DWI Saturation Patrol

NHSP: 4 were charged with drunken driving after 144 vehicles were checked in Nashua. One driver was accused of driving more than 100 mph.

NASHUA, NH — The New Hampshire State Police held another DWI Saturation Patrol, this time, in Nashua, working with Gate City police in an effort to apprehend drivers that may be impaired. On Friday, state troopers and Nashua police conducted 144 vehicle stops. Six people were arrested, according to Lt. Bryan Trask of Troop B.

Three drivers were arrested on driving while intoxicated charges: John Ritt, 33, of no fixed address; Dean Zimmerman, 28, of Nashua; and [Name Withheld], 31, of Randolph, New Jersey. One driver – Juliana Wessells, 25, of Merrimack, was arrested on an aggravated driving while intoxicated charge. Two other drivers were also arrested: Jasmine Ulloa, 25, of Manchester, was charged with operating on suspended registrations, operating on suspended license, and a bench warrant; Leonardo Barbanti, 23, of Lowell, Massachusetts, was charged with operating without a valid license.

Six motorists "were administered standardized field sobriety tests and determined to be fit to drive," Trask noted, while adding that one stop was performed due to a driver traveling in excess of 100 mph.

The action is approved by the New Hampshire Highway Safety Agency and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and supported by federal highway safety funds.
