Friends of Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge will present the July Second Sunday Program, Landscaping with Native Plants, on July 14, 2024, from 1:30-3:00 PM.
Bruce Crawford, Morris County Park Commission Manager of Horticulture and former Director of Rutgers Gardens, will present ideas for home gardeners with limited space and time. There has been a tremendous surge in the use of native plants that extends beyond their beauty. These plants also provide food through pollen, nectar, or foliage that will benefit our native insect population and all the animals that feed upon these insects. Bruce will highlight numerous selections that will enhance your home and garden throughout the year while sustaining our natural environment.
