The 9/11 terrorist attacks killed 2,977 people and injured thousands at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. As we honor those we lost, and the heroes that sacrificed their lives to save as many people as possible, we hope to see America come together as it did 23 years ago. Join our Never Forget race and promise to NEVER FORGET what happened that day. 

We will be donating 15% of each registration to <a href="https://tunnel2towers.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Tunnel to Towers Foundation</a>, an amazing organization that honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. They also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.

Early College Apps: Is It Worth the Rush? (Free Workshop)

On Friday, September 13 and Saturday, September&nbsp;14, from 9 am - 2 pm, St. Mark's Episcopal Church, located at 140 South Finley Ave in downtown Basking Ridge, will hold their indoor Fall Rummage Sale. Shoppers will find adult and children's clothing and shoes, household items, working electronics, lots of toys, games and puzzles, linens, and holiday decorations. There is a special section for jewelry, watches, craft supplies and collectibles. And check out the rack of specialty clothing items. There is a large selection of lady's handbags, wallets, belts and totes. Downstairs shoppers can find deals on furniture, lamps, backpacks, luggage and sporting goods. 
There is also a bake sale where all the treats are homemade. 
On Saturday only, there will be a Bag Sale and ½ Price Sale from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. For more information, call the church office at 908-766-9058.

Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge

Friends of Great Swamp NWR and US Fish and Wildlife Service will hold the annual Fall Festival at Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, September 14, 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Join the Friends of Great Swamp NWR and the refuge staff to celebrate 25 years at Great Swamp NWR! 
Walk through photos and stories celebrating the 60th year of Great Swamp NWR, the 60th year of the Wilderness Act, and the 25th year of Friends of Great Swamp NWR.
Activities will include target archery and hoverball, river seining, guided nature walks, giant Jenga game, nature activities and crafts for kids. Winners of the Friends Photo contest will be announced. Enjoy the exhibits and displays from our Great Swamp partners. 
Free hot dogs on the grill (11:00-1:30) and plenty of parking.

NJ Cannabis Certified Expands Cannabis Education Programs with New Sessions Starting September 23
Raritan, NJ &mdash; August 20, 2024 &mdash; NJ Cannabis Certified (NJCC) in partnership with Valley Wellness dispensary is excited to announce the launch of new cannabis education sessions beginning September 23, 2024 in collaboration with multiple colleges across New Jersey. As the State&rsquo;s cannabis industry continues to expand, these programs provide participants with the critical knowledge and skills needed to thrive in this rapidly evolving sector.
The 15-hour crash course on the New Jersey cannabis industry is offered online while providing participants real time access to course instructors. NJCC covers a wide range of topics which are essential to successfully working within New Jersey&rsquo;s regulated cannabis market. Participants will gain valuable insights on cannabis laws, safety, retail operations, and more, ensuring they are well-prepared to hit the ground running their first day on the job.

About NJ Cannabis Certified
Founded in 2020, NJ Cannabis Certified is a trusted leader in cannabis education and workforce development. NJCC is committed to delivering industry-relevant education and training to individuals seeking to enter or advance in New Jersey&rsquo;s burgeoning cannabis industry. Through partnerships with community colleges across the State, NJCC has certified over 2,000 individuals for jobs in the industry and also offers resume support and one on one industry guidance.
