12 Criminals May Have Fled To NJ Towns Near You Just Recently

Twelve criminals escaped from incarceration in just 5 months. They're from all over NJ. Will they return to the scene of their crimes?

There are more escaped prisoners on the loose than you may think. And if the old adage is true – that a criminal always returns to the scene of the crime – then you should be on the lookout for any of New Jersey's escaped criminals (see below).

Twelve escapees from throughout the state have fled incarceration in just 5 months. None of them left a maximum security facility, according to the state Department of Corrections. Indeed, the bulk of them were lodged in halfway houses.

But they weren't exactly model prisoners convicted for minor offenses. Some of them were busted for aggravated assault and other violent offenses.

But they could be facing a tougher prison sentence if they're caught. Otherwise, they could have gone hom. Indeed, studies from the University of Notre Dame show that criminals tend to return, and get themselves caught in their hometown areas (or where they committed their crimes).

Here is the list of the escapees, where they committed their crimes and what to look out for:

  • Khadija Malik, 28. Incarcerated May 12, 2017 on assault and drug charges in Camden County. Escaped from the Garrett House, a correctional treatment program for adult female offenders providing gender responsive treatment, in Camden on Jan. 24.
  • Dyesha Brunson, 25. Incarcerated March 24, 2017 on burglary and credit card fraud charges in Middlesex County. Escaped from Millicent Fenwick House in Paterson, a residential community release program for female inmates with substance abuse and mental health issues with a work release component, on Sept. 12.
  • Adriean Hull, 33. Incarcerated February 21, 2017 on theft charges in Middlesex County. Escaped on Dec. 2.
  • Kristopher Fudali, 39. Incarcerated on November 4, 2016 on burglary and theft charges in Morris and Ocean counties. Escaped from Hope Hall halfway house in Camden on Sept. 19.
  • Andy Lopez, 33. Incarcerated April 29, 2016 on heroin charges in Camden County. Escaped from Hope Hall on Sept. 18, 2017.
  • Malachi Fields, 23. Incarcerated on drugs and weapons charges on Feb. 12, 2016 in Passaic County. Escaped from treatment program on Oct. 10, 2017.
  • Raymond Evans, 26. Incarcerated on gun charges Jan. 8, 2016 in Camden County. Escaped from halfway house on Dec. 21, 2017.
  • Aldo Moro, 28. Incarcerated on robbery and bodily injury charges on Nov. 20, 2015 in Sussex County. Escaped from halfway house on Dec. 7, 2017.
  • Daquan Watt, 21. Incarcerated on heroin and weapons charges on Sept. 18, 2015 in Passaic County. Escaped from treatment program on Sept. 8, 2017.
  • Luis Hernandez, 46. Incarcerated on heroin charges on Jan. 9, 2015 in Hudson County. Escaped from treatment program on Sept. 29, 2017.
  • Waverly McCray, 44. Incarcerated on robbery and aggravated assault charges on May 23, 2014 in Passaic County. Escaped from Newark treatment program on Nov. 3, 2017.
  • Thomas Eisengart, 28. Incarcerated on robbery charges on June 28, 2013 in Passaic County. Escaped from treatment program on Sept. 21, 2017.
