Flood Watch Extended Through Wednesday In Hudson County

The NWS has issued a flood watch for Hudson Counties through Wednesday.

NORTH JERSEY, NJ — Even with partly sunny skies expected Wednesday,a flood watch has been extended through the day by the National Weather Service.

They wrote:

...COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT NOW IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.

* WHERE...In New Jersey, Hudson and Eastern Union Counties. In New York, Richmond (Staten Island) and Kings (Brooklyn) Counties.

* WHEN...For the first Coastal Flood Statement, until midnight EDT tonight. For the second Coastal Flood Statement, from Wednesday evening through late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS...Brief minor flooding of the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An additional round of brief minor flooding is possible with the evening high tide cycle Thursday.
