Presented by Historian and Author Dominic EtzoldCo-Sponsored with Monmouth County Historical Association 
Acclaimed author Dominic Etzold will be presenting the fascinating and little-known story of U-Boat activity off the New Jersey coastline in the summer of 1918. He will debunk myths and explore local history through German and American archival evidence, survivor testimony, and period logs. Mr. Etzold's book Reaping the Whirlwind: The U-boat War off North America During World War I made it to BookAuthority's “Best New World War I Books” and “Best World War I Books of All Time” rankings.

Wednesday Wisdom: On Environmental Well-Being - Live Zoom Program
Presented by Rachel Tansey, MA, Assistant Professor / FCHS Educator
There are eight components of Wellness defined by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) and we will examine them while suggesting ways to achieve them for better life-balance and stress reduction. This week, we will learn about enjoying good health by occupying pleasant, stimulating environments that support well-being.
About the Presenter: Rachel Tansey is an Assistant Professor/FCHS Educator for the Family &amp; Community Health Sciences Department under Rutgers Cooperative Extension in Monmouth County. Ms. Tansey earned her bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from Rutgers University and a master’s degree in Holistic Health from Georgian Court University.
Rachel works with community partners to educate residents on various topics centered around nutrition, wellness, and healthy well-being. Her primary concentration areas are in community health education, self-care, nutritious eating, and healthy lifestyles with an emphasis on wellness in the workplace. 
In partnership with the Moorestown Library, this session will be conducted on Zoom and is free of charge. Registration and internet access are required to attend. Register below to receive emailed information on how to access the conversation. This session is part of the 8 Dimensions of Wellness series that will run through the rest of 2024. It is not required to attend all sessions, and you may register for sessions individually based on your interests.

Join us as New York Times bestselling author and philosopher Nate Klemp helps us explore pathways back to openminded living when he talks to us about the core tenets in his new book Open: Living with an Expansive Mind in a Distracted World.
