Lacey Praises Work Of Lemonade Stand Volunteers

Three young Lacey residents were recognized on Thursday for organizing a lemonade stand that raised $1,170 for first responders in town.

LACEY, NJ — Three young Lacey residents were recognized on Thursday night for organizing a lemonade stand that raised $1,170 for first responders in town.

All of the money raised at the lemonade stand was donated to the Lacey Township Underwater Rescue & Recovery Team, the Lanoka Harbor Fire Department and the Lanoka Harbor EMS.

Mayor Peter Curatolo dedicated a proclamation to the organizers of the lemonade stand, praising their volunteerism and service to the community.

“The township of Lacey would like to recognize Nick DeBenedetto, Daniel Toner and Olivia Tramontano for their contributions and inspired dedication for the tremendous example they set forth for others,” Curatolo said.

He also acknowledged their families, who helped make the lemonade and cookies that were sold at the stand.

DeBenedetto plans to reopen the lemonade stand on Sunday. All of the money raised will benefit veterans in the community in honor of Memorial Day.

The lemonade stand will be set up at 201 Manchester Ave from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the stand will reopen on Monday.
