NJ Store That Sold $1B Mega Millions Ticket Revealed

The store that sold the $1.13 billion Mega Millions​ jackpot lottery ticket has now been revealed:

NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP, NJ — The store that sold the $1.13 billion Mega Millions jackpot lottery ticket has now been revealed:

The huge-winning lottery ticket was sold at the liquor section of the Neptune Township ShopRite, the NJ Lottery announced Wednesday morning.

The cash value of the ticket is $537.5 million. This is the largest jackpot ever won in New Jersey.

This is the ShopRite on Rt. 66 in Neptune Township. The winner has not been identified. However, NJ state Lottery Director James Carey will hold a press conference at noon Wednesday at the Rt. 66 ShopRite, where he will present the store with a $30,000 bonus check for selling the winning ticket.

"While we wait for the winner to come forward to file their claim, the New Jersey Lottery is proud to announce the retailer that sold the winning ticket," said the NJ state Lottery.

Richard Saker, CEO of Saker ShopRites and who owns all the ShopRites in Monmouth County, will be there to receive the check.

The winning ticket for the $1.13 billion Mega Millions jackpot was drawn Tuesday night, lottery officials said early Wednesday.

The ticket matched all six numbers: 7, 11, 22, 29 and 38, plus the gold Mega Ball 4. The single winning ticket earned an estimated prize of $1.13 billion ($537.5 million cash).

It is the fifth largest jackpot in the history of the game, according to Mega Millions.
