Portion Of Route 71 In Manasquan Closed Due To Flooding

MANASQUAN, NJ – A portion of Route 71 in Manasquan has been closed due to flooding Tuesday morning, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT).

The southbound lanes of Route 71 in Manasquan are currently closed between Curtis and Marcellus Avenues, with cars being detoured around the flooding.

According to the National Weather Service, heavy rain at times is expected all day with wind gusts up to 30 mph at times.

A flash flood warning is also in effect until noon, with a flash flood watch in place until 5 p.m. today.

UPDATE: The closed portion of Route 71 has been reopened.
