CHESTER, NJ — An alumnus of the Dover-based Milestone House set an ambitious walking goal to mark his 2,000th consecutive day of sobriety, and one of Chester's police officers and his family joined in the effort.

Dylan McKinney also started the "2000 Challenge" to raise awareness of the ongoing fentanyl epidemic, generate money for those battling addiction, and honor the memory of lives lost.

Over June 29 and 30, he completed the goal of walking 75 miles— from Dover to Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood — in under 2,000 minutes (so he had a little more than 33 hours).
