Jersey Shore Cast Films Part Of Reunion In Point Pleasant Beach

Cast members were filmed eating dinner and playing games on Jenkinson's Boardwalk on June 16.

Seaside Heights said no. Jenkinson's Boardwalk and Asbury Park said yes.

Jenkinson's Pavilion apparently said yes to a return of the much-maligned yet popular "Jersey Shore," show at least for dinner and an evening on the boards recently, according to app.com.

“They were here for a couple hours and had dinner and played boardwalk games,” said Toby Wolf, marketing director for Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach. Cast members, including Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley, filmed on June 16.

Farley Snapchatted a picture of the scene at Jenkinson’s with the caption “We’re back.”

Seaside Heights, where the show was originally based, nixed a request by Los Angeles-based Bright Road Productions. Officials have made a concerted effort over the past decade to transform the borough's reputation as a party town to a family-oriented resort

The show’s producer, Los Angeles-based Bright Road Productions, applied for a permit with Asbury Park to film on the boardwalk and beach area, according to city officials.

It's still unclear when or where the reunion show will air.

“Jersey Shore” debuted on MTV in 2009 and was criticized for its sometimes unsavory view of life in Seaside Heights. UNICO National, an Italian-American organization, called the show “trash television” before it debuted and the show was derided by Gov. Chris Christie.
