Ridgewood High School Makes List Of 25 Best In State

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A website meant to help families decide where to live and learn has put Ridgewood High School near the top of the list of best public high schools in the state.

The site considered reviews from students, parents, and teachers (which can be read on the site), and gave grades for things like diversity, college graduation rate, AP courses offered, and clubs.

Many of the top schools were public magnet or regional schools, so only a few high schools like Ridgewood made the top.

Ridgewood earned an A+ for academics and college prep, several other A's, and a B + for diversity.

Tenafly High School also made the list, as well as Northern Valley Regional High School in Demarest, Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale, Bergen County Academies, and Bergen County Technical High School.

Here are New Jersey's top 25 public high schools, according to Niche.

7. Marine Academy of Technology & Environmental Science (Ocean County Vocational Technical School District)
8. Bergen County Technical High School - Teterboro (Bergen County Vocational Technical School District)
9. Edison School - Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics & Engineering Technologies (Middlesex County Vocational & Technical School District)
10. Dr. Ronald E. McNair Academic High School (Jersey City School District)
11. Academy for Allied Health Science (Union County Vocational-Technical School District)
12. Princeton High School (Princeton Public Schools)
13. West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South (West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District)
14. Academy of Allied Health & Sciences (Monmouth County Vocational School District)
15. Tenafly High School (Tenafly Public School District)
