All Westfield Schools Closed Tuesday Due To Snow

WESTFIELD, NJ — All Westfield Public Schools and district offices will be closed on Tuesday, due to the impending storm.

All afterschool activities are canceled. The Board of Education meeting also is canceled, with the announcement of a rescheduled date to come.

The National Weather Service(NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Warning from midnight on Monday through 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

The NWS is predicting 4 to 8 inches of snow could fall in Westfield.

Temperatures will reach a high of 38 on Tuesday and snow, possibly mixing with rain, will arrive mainly before 1 p.m. which could be heavy at times.

It will also be breezy, with a northeast wind 14 to 18 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.
