BABYLON, NY — Crews cleaning up Cedar Beach after the Jan. 9-10 storm found a dead dolphin.

Environmental Conservation Officer Brendan Dickson received the report called into the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Dickson responded to the location and joined town of Babylon Operations Department employees who were working nearby to repair storm damage.

DEC officials said it appeared the marine mammal had washed up on the beach due to storm-related high winds and tides.
